Proactive vs Reactive People

                              AdobeStock ARE YOU A PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE PERSON? A lot of people, if not everyone, will encounter some form of challenge in life. Oftentimes many will choose not to address the issue, while others might do so from an irrational approach. However, problems only compound if a person allow their emotions to take control of their decision-making process. Negative and emotional responses such as anxiety, depression, withdrawal, fear, denial, anger, procrastination, etc. can do more harm than good. Kristenson (2022) suggests that the way “ we choose to “master the moment” can make the difference between proactive versus reactive” solutions. When it comes to tackling life’s demands people tend to fall into one of two categories when addressing the demands of their lives: proactive or reactive. Knowing that it’s healthier to exercise and lower your risk of a heart attack, but wait...
